Trevor Dearham
Dr. Trevor Dearham received his doctorate (DMA) in choral conducting at the University of Toronto under the guidance of Dr. Hilary Apfelstad. At the Faculty of Music, Trevor was the assistant conductor of the MacMillan Singers. As part of his graduate university work, Trevor also studies orchestral conducting with Maestro Uri Mayer of the University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra and wind band conducting with Dr. Gillian MacKay. In June 2015, Trevor retired as the Head of Music at Dr. Denison Secondary school in Newmarket where he taught instrumental and vocal music for twenty-five years since the school opened. He holds bachelors’ degrees in music and education from Western University. Trevor has conducted several concerts with the York Chamber Ensemble and Festival Chorus over the last two concert seasons. In 2014, Trevor was the only Canadian conductor invited to participate in a North American Fellowship Program with Alice Parker, a world-renowned choral conductor, author, arranger and composer from Massachusetts. He has also been the guest conductor for the former York Region District School Board Staff Singers along with the York Chamber Ensemble on several occasions. Trevor is thrilled to be working with the members of the Tapestry Chamber Choir as their artistic director.

George Vandikas
George Vandikas is a retied teacher, active performer and collaborative pianist in a wide variety of musical genres. He is an alumnae of the University of Toronto Music Program where he earned undergrad and graduate degrees in piano performance. He studied and participated in master classes with such notable pianists as; James Anagnoson, Boris Lysenko, William Aide, Patricia Parr, Greta Kraus, Eugene List and Anton Kuerti. Together with his wife Sheila they run a successful music studio in Newmarket and have raised four children, all of whom are accomplished musicians.
